JLC Chinese Short Stories in PDF versionMy dear friends, as I promised, you can now download the JLC short stories in PDF version from this page.

Under PDF link for each story, I added a download link to the MP3 recording of the first chapter. The recording for the rest of the chapters can be downloaded by changing the sequence number in the first download link. If you encounter any issues, please let me know.

So far I only finished one of them: 罪恶有痕. It’s also the longest and the one that requires the most advanced reading level. I will continue to convert the rest of the stories and post the complete PDF versions on this same page. A permanent link to this page is anchored on the side bar too.

I know many of you have been waiting patiently for the downloadable version. I do apologize for not being able to make them available sooner.

Like always, if you see any typos or mistakes, don’t hesitate to give me a shout. Instructive suggestions are welcome any time. Thank you.

I love reading all your stories during my commute to work. Have only been learning Chinese for a month and I can read your beginner stories! Can’t wait to go through all of them! My goal one day is to be able to read a Chinese newspaper. A lot of these stories are casual. Have you thought of creating sort of like a beginner ‘formal news reading ‘ series … if that makes sense? Maybe it already exists at the higher levels . It might be boring for others haha but my intent would be to familiarise myself with some structure used in newspapers! Thanks for all the great material!

Hi Iiyana, thank you for your message. But sorry I might disappoint you on “formal news reading” suggestion. I don’t think I’m good at producing that type of reading material. However, I guess it’s actually a lot easier to find news materials than anything else on the net, no?
