In dog’s world … Beginner level Chinese humor

Dogs are proud of their own occupations, as human do. If you don’t think so, please read the following humor in Chinese. You’ll agree with me after that. :-) It’s beginner level Chinese reading practice, please make sure you’ve learned the following new words before your read:

[Simplified Chinese]

一条警犬看见对面走来一条普通的狗, 就凶凶地跑过去, 大声说:”我是警犬, 你是什么东西?”

普通狗不屑地看了它一眼, 说:”蠢货, 看清楚了, 我是便衣!”

 

[Traditional Chinese]

一條警犬看見對面走來一條普通的狗, 就凶凶地跑過去, 大聲說:”我是警犬, 你是什麼東西?”

普通狗不屑地看了它一眼, 說:”蠢貨, 看清楚了, 我是便衣!”

 

[pinyin]

yī tiáo jǐngquǎn kànjiàn duìmiàn zǒu lái yī tiáo pǔtōng de gǒu, jiù xiōng xiōng dì pǎo guòqu, dàshēng shuō:” wǒ shì jǐngquǎn, nǐ shì shénme dōngxi?”

pǔtōng gǒu bùxiè dì kàn le tā yīyǎn, shuō:” chǔnhuò, kàn qīngchu le, wǒ shì biànyī!”

 

[English translation]

A police dog saw a common dog walked down the road. He ran up to meet the dog and asked ferociously, “I am police, what on earth are you?”

The common dog cast a disdainful glance at him and said, “Idiot, open your eyes, I am undercover!”
